AquaNaught
“AquaNaught” - My first "ART Bike" was called the Naught mainly because it never was a motorcycle. It was strictly an art object. As years went by and I made other art bikes, I finally got around to making this bike .,it was my first water-cooled motorcycle. Usually, while I work I mentally try to think of an appropriate title for the sculpture. One day it hit me aqua ...water Naught ..why not combine them and the Aqua-Naught was born It's motor is a 1935 Quincy air compressor. and some of the objects used are things like an outboard Motor cover reversed to make the gastank. gear box from vintage riding lawnmore. Early BSA girder front end from India. Copper teapot headlight. Aqualung air tank split in half for the oil tank. Steam boiler gauges and controls. The hand grips are from cast iron wood stove handles. It also has a cast iron steam radiator, from an old schoolhouse. Stainless steel exhaust with a Chris Craft vintage yacht fire repressor megaphone. I'll stop there. It was also my first steel frame.
