Boarhog Towing
“Boarhog Towing” - 4 of 5 from the Horse Series completed in 2022. Boar Hog....the term Boar Hog was taken from an old friend of mine who was a WWII Veteran. He referred to anything massive or huge as a Boar Hog and I heard him use it many times with a big smile on his face. He designed huge automative wreckers for Holms wrecker here in Chattanooga. The horse is adapted to look functional, a almost believable mechanical device that gives the illusion that it would work. My uncle was a tabacco farmer and owned a Clyesdale that regulary pulled stuck tractors and trucks from muddy ditches, a process which I once witnessed in my childhood. The horse didn’t need the fanciful contraption I have created but if he did I’m sure it would have looked something like this. Mixed media - mostly carved white pine. Approx 24” x 14”.
Price: $5,000
