First Flight
“First Flight” - Coming soon!! First Flight attempts to capture the first moment a young toddler flies in the air. The mother has a device on her back that resembles dragonfly wings, which enables her to fly, she can't fly without it, she has made a glider-type wing for the baby to enable him to glide, and she has just released him so he is experiencing his first experience flying, the mother's face shows concern and the baby shows delight. The trailing fabric is to enhance the illusion of air movement during this event. The child will have many more firsts as he progresses through the many fantasy flying machines he will conquer through his life. This piece also captures the spirit of daring, adventure, and chance-taking that has been looked down upon in our safety conscious society.
